In my experience as a scholar, consultant, mentor and coach, I’ve discovered one trait that most exceptional people have in common: tenacity. They have the courage to face their fears, let down their guard and truly connect with the people around them—even under challenging circumstances—and they always strive to put their talents and strength of character into the service of something bigger than themselves.
In my own life and professional practice, I try to inhabit this idea of tenacity by being what I call audaciously authentic and authentically audacious. This mindset is the animating spirit behind every client engagement, public talk, seminar and university lecture I undertake.
Working through mentoring relationships, diversity frameworks and inclusion conversations and actions, my practice of engagement—whether through teaching or consulting—aims to help people embrace the benefits of fostering a culture in which all people feel included, connected and invested. Time and time again, leaders in the organizations with which I partner see a connection between deepening their investment in their talent and enhanced organizational outcomes.
You’ll find detailed information on this site about specific services I offer, but in simple terms I like to think about what I do as providing a forum—as well as offering practical tools—to start conversations for and about mentoring, leadership, diversity and inclusion. In today’s world, I see these conversations as critical for individuals, managers and executives alike who want to achieve their innate potential, expand business opportunities and lead their organizations to success.
In the spirit of building connections and getting to know each other, here are a few things I’d like to tell you about myself:
